About Us
Madison Simis Elementary serves students grades preschool through 4th grade. The recently rebuilt school features state-of-the art classrooms, courtyards, gardens, gymnasium, playgrounds and much more.
Madison Simis is an International Baccalaureate World School and has had two elementary school International Baccalaureate Teachers of the Year award recipients for the state of Arizona. Throughout the campus, 10 of the IB Learner Profile traits, which are words describing the characteristics an IB student should exhibit, are proudly displayed on the school buildings serving as a reminder to all of us as a school community to be such things as thinkers, inquirers, and caring.
All students at Simis, starting as early as Kindergarten, learn to research. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think deeply about them, and research their answers and eventually to take action. All students also receive Spanish instruction.
Madison Simis is an academically rigorous school because of our IB program. Teachers ask in-depth questions and students are taught how to think deeply about their subjects. Every student is taught the state standards and encouraged to broaden their knowledge by learning about not just what is around them, but about the entire world. At Simis, every classroom is a place where students become life-long learners.
